THE LIGHTER SIDE 2

A man walks into a pet shop and asks the owner to suggest the perfect pet for him.

The owner tells the man that he has just the ideal pet for him and to wait and minute and he will go fetch it.

The man waits and soon enough the owner comes out carrying a teenie box in his hands and puts it down on the counter.

"What have you got for me?" the man's eyes light up.

"Why this here is a genuine pure bred all American millipede. Doesn't eat much, you don't have walk it, it's quiet, clean, the perfect pet for you."

The customer was smitten with the prospect of owning such a fine little friend and he bought the millipede on the spot.

Getting home he settles his new friend into its living quarters and is just darned pleased to have this new companion.

A little while later the man calls to the millipede, "Hey, you want to come to the bar with me and have a drink together?"

No answer.

The man tries again, a little louder, "I asked you if you wanted to come to the bar with me and have a drink. Are you coming?"

No answer.

Exasperated the man thinking that the owner of the pet shop had ripped him off he built some steam and yelled at the millipede,

"I'm asking you for the last time! ARE YOU COMING WITH ME TO THE BAR TO SHARE A DRINK WITH ME?!*&#!

To which a tiny little voice pipes up:

"Okay, okay, just doggone hang on a minute will you? I'm tying my shoelaces!"
