CPU Fixer

Its a good idea to have your windows task manager open when using buzz, you can see if the cpu goes crazy (due to a problematic machine) and close buzz if your computer freezes (but you saved your files many times in stages so thats no big deal). Remember the Buzz Engine (buzz.exe) is NOT responsible for 99.9% of crashes, crashes are due to individual machines. So, if after adding a particular machine, you see problems, STOP using it and find a replacement.
---
It is usually better practice to Stop song playback (f8) before adding new machines (not in all cases, but can help). On a related note, while dragging on dropping into or opening bmx files in buzz, try to stop song playback (f8) before dropping in the next bmx
---
Buzz also has an internal cpu monitor, where you can see WM error accumulation. Wm_Errors are not really a problem unless they rise very quickly (will cause freezing problems). You can also check the debug box, which causes some WM Errors to accumulate but can also help to correct other issues. So there is no rule, sometimes it works, sometimes it just doesn't.
---
Usually in older (by release date) reverbs, EQs, and filter machines, after playing through a song or section and stopping playback the effect(s) will suddenly spike once they stop receiving input and suck up all available CPU resources. You can mute the effect to stop the cpu spike. (KEcho, EQ7 for some people)
---
Let's use a cheapo fixer before each effect that has this problem.
---
Happens with Automaton's EQ7 on some systems
generator -> cheapo fixer -> automaton eq7 -> master
---
Try to use 'thru' instead of 'mute on sequence editor (f4)
---

VST Denormalizer
You'll find here a vst that will "denormalize" your chain.
Supposedly Pentium 4's have some cpu bug with many vsti/s/machines
