Soundfonts
Loading soundfonts into buzz's wavetable - not fully supported. The result will be a multi-layered sample that you can play with a tracker (e.g. matilde) and edit with Buzz main ADSR. Not all soundfonts load correctly though. There are some, where you have to re-set the root notes manually. Or load them into a soundfont editor and do it there.

Rout's Soundfont Loader works but is a very old and limited machine, that also does not fully support soundfonts, they are loaded externally in Routs SF Loader (not in the wavetable) - a good tip is to rename the machine to the name of the soundfont you are using for future reference - also sometimes, there are loading problems with bmx files that contain it, there is an easy solution - simply create a new bmx file, add a rout soundfont loader, and rescan your sf2 directory

There are numerous free/commercial VSTi that work in Polac's Vst Loader and support soundfonts - Halion, Kontakt, etc.

I am using Creative's Vienna (but i have an old SBLive card with KX Drivers)
Awave is the most versatile format conversion utility and editor - working on every soundcard i think, but it's not cheap.

Vienna is free, but it does not work without emu10k based soundcard. (soundblaster compatible card will do the trick)
