"Alternate" Time Signatures

Buzz is set to 1/4 2/4 3/4 4/4 time signature as a default. The horizontal highlights represent 16 ticks but should be IGNORED if you want a different time signature. Also changing your screen's resolution may help (read on)
---
The TPB sets how many ticks there are in one beat, one beat being a quarter note. Just make the patterns as many ticks long as you need, such as 20 ticks for one 5/4 measure if you're working at 4 TPB, or 12 for 3/4 at 4 TPB.
---
You have to change the pattern length you're using. If you want a 5/4 signature, make your patterns 20 ticks long (press Ctrl-Bksp in Pattern View), and set your Step to 20 in the Sequencer View (f4). Now, your pattern can be divided into 5 beats of 4 ticks each (5 * 4 = 20 ticks).
The TPB value determines the second value in the time signature, here it is 4, so you get 5/4.
For 3/4, use pattern length 24 or 48 if 24 is too cramped. For 5/4, you can also use 40 or even 80 for your pattern length instead of 20.
---
"TPB" means "Ticks Per Beat", i.e. how many ticks there are in one quarter note.

4/4 at 4 TPB: 4 quarter notes times 4 = 16 ticks.

11/8 at 6 TPB: 5 1/2 quarter notes times 6 = 33 ticks.

7/8 at 16 TPB: 3 1/2 quarter notes times 16 = 56 ticks.

3/4 at 8 TPB: 3 quarter notes times 8 = 24 ticks.

The point is having differing sub-beat resolutions without the BPM becoming incorrect.
---
The easiest way, I think, is by setting the step in the sequence editor.
step=20 for 10/4 and 5/4.
step=28 for 7/4.
step=12 for 12/8.

But 13/4??? Maybe add a track for the master, set step to 28, and let bpm be twice as fast at 4 of the steps.
---
Also increase your screen's resolution so you can see more in the sequence editor.
Another common problem is make sure you can the STEP in the sequence editor so you can SEE all tick rows, and therefore highlight the correct block for playback.
